Folke Bensow

Folke Bensow (1886–1971) was a prominent Swedish architect and designer who operated his own Stockholm practice between 1915 and 1930, playing a vital role in shaping the Nordic Classicism - or Swedish Grace - movement. During the 1920s, he partnered with Näfveqvarns Bruk, a historic iron foundry that engaged leading architects of the era to transform heavy, industrial cast iron into refined outdoor art. Bensow's garden furniture achieved international acclaim when exhibited at the landmark 1925 Paris World Fair, cementing his reputation and making his cast-iron designs highly prized collectors' pieces today.
